You'll cross several of these crystal-clear tributaries as the trail swings back around toward the parking area. Traveling through the "foothills" of the Pisgah Ridge, the trail crosses these streams that gather high on the mountain above. Here in this relatively flat valley they slow down before joining the South Fork Mills River.
