The campsite at Commissary Ridge.  The Mount Mitchell/Mountains to Sea trail comes down from the summit via Commissayr Ridge, in the upper-left of the photo.  The old railroad grade you hiked her on is behind that row of spruce trees.  The Mount Mitchell/Mountains to Sea Trail turns left and goes out the right side of the picture along the old railroad grade.  Then it turns right, and continues descending steeply.
