Nature's bounty. From the acidic soil grows red spruce, Fraser fir, the heaths Rhododendron and Mountain Laurel and my favorite - Blueberries! Each year, the area around Camp Alice supports a huge crop. We had CLEANED this plant almost completely of ripe berries, but you can see how many are left to ripen - most of which will probably just fall to the ground, although a few will be eaten by birds, insects, and/or bears!
