Continuing around the tower, now facing east, this is Commissary Ridge.  The Balsam Nature Trail, Mountains to Sea Trail, and Mount Mitchell trail all follow a path on this ridgeline away from the summit.  The Balsam trail soon turns and loops back to the parking area, while the other two continue down to eventually reach the Black Mountain Campground.
