A view of Second Falls from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Fall 2003.  You can reach the base of the falls by turning right after you cross the first bridge, then descend on the huge set of steps to the base.  The pool at the bottom makes an excellent (and popular) swimming hole during the summer. Downstream from this is Yellowstone Falls, which is nearly impossible (and very dangerous) to get to.
