This gnarled, twisted, fallen birch is almost
like a playground. It is still alive, despite having fallen
many years ago and having thousands of kids - and adults! - climbing
climbed on its arched roots, level trunk and stunted branches
since! Recently, this tree has been immortalized in the Sony
Pictures movie All the Real Girls. A brief scene was shot
right here, with some more footage being shot at the overlook at
the top. The entire movie was filmed in Asheville and Marshall,
NC.
